Studios

We have three spacious rehearsal studios measuring 5m x 6m and one smaller studio measuring 4m x 3.5m. The equipment in each room is flexible to some degree and should you require a particular setup, please advise us when booking and we will endeavour to meet your needs. The normal arrangements are as follows:

Room 1 - PA & drums - from £8 per hour

Room 1 comes with drum kit & PA as standard. Additional equipment may be hired as required.

PA Equipment

  • Mixer: 4 mic ins, 4 mono/stereo line ins, built in effects
  • Stereo amp - 400 watts rms per channel
  • Two 15" 600 watt rated speakers
  • Two boom mic stands, one straight mic stand

Drum Kit

  • 5 piece Drum Kit - Ludwig CS Accent
  • hi-hat stand (Ludwig) and cymbals (Meinl)
  • ride cymbal (Meinl) and stand
  • Two crash cymbal stands
  • Single bass pedal (Mapex)

Additional Equipment

  • Bass speaker cab - Laney 4x10". Use your it with your own head f.o.c. or hire ours.

Up to two microphones (Shure SM58) may be borrowed free (£1 deposit each). Further mics 50p per hour.

Guitar and bass amp hire £1 per hour, crash cymbal hire £1 per hour

 

Room 2 - PA & drums - from £8 per hour

Room 2 comes with drum kit & PA standard. Additional equipment may be hired as required.

Up to two microphones (Shure SM58) may be borrowed free (£1 deposit each). Further mics 50p per hour.

Room 3 - PA only - from £6 per hour

Room 3 is normally hired out with PA only for those bands that like to bring all their own backline. A bass amp is provided also.

  • Mixer: 4 mic ins, 4 mono/stereo line ins, built in effects
  • Stereo amp - 250 watts rms per channel
  • Two 15" 300 watt rated speakers
  • Two mic stands

Additional Equipment

  • Bass Amp head and speaker cab

Up to two microphones free (£1 deposit each). Further mics 50p per hour

Guitar and bass amp hire £1 per hour

Drum kit hire £2 per hour - Tama jazz size kit

 

Room 4 - PA only - from £5 per hour (pic shows with drum kit during recording)

Room 4 is normally hired out with PA only for those bands that like to bring all their own backline. It is most suitable for three piece bands although a five piece metal band has squeezed in before.

  • 4 input mixer with built in effects
  • Stereo amp
  • Two 15" speakers
  • Two mic stands

Up to two microphones free (£1 deposit each).

Further mics 50p per hour.

Guitar Amp Menu

If you want to bring your own head only, we have the following 4 x 12" cabs available to use at no cost, in order of sound quality, best first:

  • Sound City straight ply cab retrofitted with Celestion G12-T75 drivers
  • Kustom angled cab with Celestion G12-T75
  • Marshall angled cab with 20w Greenbacks (heavily abused!)
  • Hughes & Kettner straight cab
  • Fender FM angled cab
  • Laney mono/stereo angled cab

We have the following amp heads available to hire at £1 per hour, to use with the above cabs:

  • Marshall JCM900 SLX: high gain 50w valve head
  • Laney Pro Tube 60MV: master volume valve head
  • Kustom Quad 100: 2 channels + effects
  • Fender Stage 100: 2 channels + reverb
  • Fender FM100H: 2 channels + reverb
  • Crate GT3500: 3 channels

We have the following combos available to hire at £1 per hour:

  • Marshall MG50DFX 1x12"
  • Line 6 Spider II 150 watt 2x12"
  • Traynor YCV80 (waiting repair)

Bass Amp Menu

If you want to bring your own head only, we have the following cabs available to use at no cost, in order of sound quality, best first:

  • Laney 4x10" (usually Room 1)
  • Peavey 1x15" (usually Room 3)
  • Nameless 1x15" (usually Room 2)
  • Laney 1x15"

We have the following amp heads available to hire at £1 per hour, to use with the above cabs:

  • Laney R4H 200/300 watts
  • Behringer 300/450 watts
  • Dunc's homemade 200/300w mosfet head

We have the following combos available to hire at £1 per hour:

  • Hiwatt Maxwatt B100-15

Other Stuff

We can also lend or hire you other items to help you with your rehearsal, for example:

  • Vocal monitor setup to supplement PA (£1 p/hr)
  • CD player to connect to PA
  • Tape deck & mics to record live in the room (50p p/hr)
  • music stand, keyboard stand, extra mic stands & leads, extra cymbal stands
